A man with 25 illegal firearms arrested from Rohini. Police arrested a resident of Dhar district in Madhya Pradesh from Rohini. The accused Ravi Morya was arrested by the special cell of the Delhi Police on Monday. Ravi Morya aged 25 years is a member of an interstate illegal arms supply racket. The police recovered 25 semi-automatic pistols from him.

Ravi Morya told police that the manufacturing cost of a pistol comes to Rs 7500. However, he supplied them in bulk at Rs 15000 each. Further, the accused revealed that he supplied the pistols which eventually went into hands of criminals in Delhi and adjoining states at Rs 25000 to Rs 35000 each.
A police officer said that illegal weapons were being pumped into Delhi from Khargone, Dhar and Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh. Hence a probe was initiated. Sanjeev Kumar Yadav is the deputy commissioner of police. He said that a trap was laid in Rohini where the accused had come to deliver a large consignment of Illegal arms to his contact.
He added that the accused is now arrested and apart from 25 semi-automatic pistols, a mobile handset and a sim card used in illegal arms supply activities were recovered from his bag.
After interrogation, it was revealed that the accused received firearms from Jagat and were further supplied in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh. He also told the police that he was lured into this racket by Jagat. Jagat is a resident of his village and he has been working as a carrier of illegal firearms for the last 4 years. And he was lured by him only to make easy money.
