All Those who graduate from the institution should be employable, says Arvind Kejriwal
On Monday Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that Delhi govt’s new university will aim at providing jobs to the graduates. The skill and Entrepreneurship University will make courses in consultation with industry bodies to make sure that those who graduate are employable.
Arwind Kejriwal called the industry bodies as its customers. He added that those who will design the courses will ask companies if students who learn this will get a job.
Here is what the Chief Minister said regarding Delhi’s new skill and Entrepreneurship University.
“Job providers will be this university’s customers. The courses will be designed after discussion with companies. We will ask, ‘If we teach this, will you give jobs’. If they say no, the course is not right. Courses should be such that companies are ready to hire graduates.”
Dr Neharika Vohra is appointed as vice-chancellor by the government. Dr Neharika is chairperson of the centre for innovation incubation and Entrepreneurship(CIIE) at IIM, Ahmedabad. Students will be admitted from the coming academic session.
