Bengaluru: A biker was flagged down by Madiwala traffic police. The police told him that there were 77 violation cases against the two-wheelers and for that, he has to pay Rs 42,500 as a penalty to get the vehicle back. However, the biker left the bike with them only.
Police reported that the biker, Arun Kumar was stopped for not wearing a helmet and for having a defective number plate on his two-wheeler bike. The incident happened on Friday morning near Madiwala Police station.

When the cases were generated by police against the biker, it came out that there were 75 cases of traffic violations. And these 75 cases do not include Friday’s violations.
The bengaluru police said, “The cases were pending for two years. Most of the violations were for jumping traffic signals and triple riding. Hence, he was asked to pay Rs 42,500 as a penalty. He said that the value of the two-wheeler was less than Rs 30,000 and he will not pay the penalty.”
The bengaluru police revealed that the cases were pending for about two years from now. Most of the cases were for jumping the traffic signals. Also, most of the violations were for triple riding as well. The police asked Arun Kumar to pay the penalty of Rs 42500. However, Arun left the vehicle with police and said that the value of the vehicle was less than Rs 30,000. And hence he refused to pay the penalty.
The biker, Arun Kumar refused to pay the penalty and as result, police seized his bike.
