Colleges in Uttarakhand likely to reopen post-Diwali

Dehradun: The state higher education department will likely open the colleges in Uttarakhand after Diwali. Dhan Singh Rawat is the state higher education minister. As per Dhan Singh Rawat, they have taken feedback from all stakeholders about reopening the colleges. Moreover, the mister said that they are waiting for the Central government guidelines. However, he said that their primary concern is to declare the results by the end of the month.

“We have taken feedback from all the stakeholders regarding the reopening of the colleges and are currently waiting for the guidelines of the Central government, but before that our primary concern is to declare the results by month-end.”

Many students yet to appear for their practicals:

On Wednesday, the officials close to the development said that the department has asked the institutions to declare the results of the students at the earliest. Since the students from various colleges and universities are yet to appear for their practicals, that’s why the decision has been made by the Department. Further, schools in the Himalayan state are likely to reopen from 2nd November. 

The Education Department is taking steps to ensure students are psychologically prepared to resume classes after such a long period.

The officials from the education department said that the education department is preparing to ensure that students are psychologically prepared to resume their classes after such a long gap of nearly seven months.
