Committed to women’s safety, tweets CM Adityanath amid Hathras protests

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath: Country wide protests are taking place to protest against the Hathras Gang rape incident. Amid nationwide protest against the lawlessness of UP Police after the brutal incident of rape in both Hathras and Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has tweeted that UP Government is committed to protect every mother and sister of the state.

Brutal incident has raised outrage all over the country

A 19-year old dalit girl was gang- raped on September 14 in her own village by four men belonging to the same village. Unfortunately the victim died on this Tuesday in Delhi at Safdarjung Hospital. Family of the victim has claimed that UP Police cremated the body of the victim in the early hours of Wednesday without informing the members of family prior to the cremation. The victim’s family ahs also alleged that the UP Police are not letting the family members to speak to media as well as appearing in front of the journalists. The Government in UP has imposed Section 144 which prohibits the gathering of more than four people.

Opposition parties are asking for resignation of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath with Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi detained on the way to meet family of the deceased

The Opposition parties are demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over the false law and Justice in Uttar Pradesh.  The Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were detained on their way to meet the family of the victim. Also on Friday, a leader of Trinamool Congress who was on his way to meet the family of the deceased was manhandled by Uttar Pradesh police.

In the similar incident another Dalit woman was gang raped on September 30 by two men in their car in Balrampur. The girl died on her way to the hospital.
