INDORE: Computer baba along with a few followers has been sent to jail on Sunday. The Madhya Pradesh government razed his ashram for alleged encroachment of 2 acres of state-owned land in Indore’s Hatod area.
Namdev Das Tyagi also known as Computer baba:
In 2018, Namdev Das Tyagi also known as Computer Baba was given an MoS status by Shivraj Singh Chaouhan government. When he tried to protest, then he was detained along with six other individuals.
Computer baba along with few followers sent to jail
Harinarayanchari Mishra, Indore DIG said that Computer baba along with 6 other people was sent to jail after being produced before the magistrate. They have been arrested under section 152 of CrPC and have been kept in central jail.
Seven people taken into police custody under section 152 of CrPC:
Manish Singh, Indore collector revealed that as a preventive measure seven people have been taken into police custody under section 152 of CrPC. They tried to obstruct administrative action and hence they have been sent to Central jail.
What all has been found under their possession?
Police have found a 315 bore rifle, pistol, airgun and a kirpan in the ashram. Apart from these, LED television sets, refrigerators, and air conditioning have also been found. Besides, the administration has seized two bikers and two four-wheelers.
What Congress MLA has to say about the incident?
Vishal Patel, Congress MLA from Depalpur warned by saying, “BJP government’s razing of ashrams, temples and colleges is dirty politics. If even a brick of the temple is taken away, I and the Kalota community will take to the streets and district administration will be responsible for it.”
Vishal Patel threatened to launch a protest if any damage were caused to a temple built on the land.
