Congress criticizes BJP MP Tejasvi Surya for his comments on Bengaluru

The new chief BJP youth wing, Tejasvi Surya has been criticized for his comment on Bengaluru that it has become an “Epicentre of terror activities.” His tweets on this matter have attracted many attacks. While some pointed out that the Karnataka state is ruled by the BJP party, the Congress party said that BJP should terminate the new Youth leader.


Congress leader, DK Shivakumar, who is a long-time troubleshooter and now, heading the state unit of the party, said, “The BJP should sack him. He is killing Bengaluru. It is a shame for the BJP.”


Karnataka Chief Minister supports the young leader

However, Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa supports the young leaders. He said, “I have been asking the Prime Minister for NIA here for some years. Now, I congratulate the Prime Minister and Home Minister for agreeing.” When he was asked whether he supports the statement of Tejasvi Surya, The Chief Minister defended him by saying, “He said it casually in the sense that nowadays terrorist activities are increasing in Bengaluru.”

Yesterday, in an interaction with media, which was also first after Tejasvi Surya appointed as the new chief of the BJP youth, he said that in few last years, Bengaluru which is also called as Silicon Valley of India has become an Epicentre of terrorist activities. The said thing is proved by many arrests and sleeper terror cells busted by investigating agency in the Bangalore city.”

For the sake of evidence, MP cited the recent violent attacks in the KJ Halli and DJ Halli regions in the city.

He said that it is a matter of great concern that NIA investigation on the violence case in the areas DJ Halli and KG Halli that happened in August indicated that many terrorist organizations have been using Bengaluru as their center for carrying out anti-India activities.

Violence in the eastern part of this Bengaluru

In August, during the violence in the areas of DJ Halli and KG Halli in the eastern part of Bengaluru, three men were killed due to police firing and 60 policemen got injured. The violence was started because of an offensive Facebook post, that was posted by a relative of Congress MLA.

An MP, who represents the Bengaluru South in Lok sabha said that he has asked the Union Minister Amit Shah to establish a cell of the National Investigation Agency in the city.
