Congress district president thrashed by two women over sexual harassment

On Sunday, a video of Congress district president Anuj Mishra surfaced the internet. In the video, Anuj Mishra was seen being thrashed by two women near the Orai railway station for allegedly stalking and sexually harassing them.

The video in which Anuj Mishra is being slapped and hit with slippers by the women went viral on all social media platforms. Not only the video but also Anuj Mishra’s picture with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also went viral on social media.

What did the women say?

Both the women claimed that Anuj Mishra was sexually harassing and frequently stalking them for many days.

“We complained about him to Ajay Kumar Lallu Ji but no action was taken,” they further added.

Ajay Kumar Lallu is the president of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC).

Both the women further added that they both were left with no other option but to call Anuj Mishra near the Orai railway station and publicly beat him up.

What did Anuj Mishra say?

Replying to the allegations which are being put on Anuj Mishra, he said that he is unable to understand the political conspiracy in which he is being trapped.

Talking about the video, Anuj Mishra added: “Two women all of a sudden came and caught my collar. Four men along with them were making the video.”

It is a “political conspiracy against me,” he claimed.

However, other Congress leaders from Uttar Pradesh when asked about the matter and the incident they denied having any knowledge about it.

What did the Police say?

The police said that they are probing the matter and further action will be taken after the probe.

Such type of more incidents from the Congress party

This is not the first incident from the party but on Sunday Mullappally Ramachandran who happens to be the Congress chief of Kerala, demeaned rape survivors during a public rally by saying “No one can trust a woman who publicly says she got raped. A woman with self-respect will kill herself if she is raped.”

While last month, Kamal Nath, former MP chief minister called BJP leader and minister Imarti Devi an ‘item’.
