What Delhi International Airport Limited has announced?

As per the announcement made by DIAL(Delhi International Airport Limited), the on-demand coronavirus testing facility for departing International and domestic passengers has commenced.

Before departure, passengers having flights from IGIA to undergo covid test:

Right before the departure, all international and domestic passengers who are taking their flight from IGIA( Indira Gandhi International Airport) will have to undergo a Coronavirus test.

From September 12 till date, the covid 19 testing facility was available for only International arrivals at the Delhi airport. However, from now onwards all passengers will have a coronavirus test right before they take the flight.

Passengers to arrive at the airport six hours before for covid testing facility:

Delhi International Airport Limited said in a statement that such passengers should arrive at the airport nearly 6 hours before. By paying INR 2400, they can get their test at the airport itself and within 6 hours they will get their results.

Association with Genstrings Diagnostic Centre Pvt. Ltd for coronavirus testing facility:

Genstrings Diagnostic Centre Pvt. Ltd is an ICMR approved laboratory with which DIAL has associated with.  On 28 October 2020, A covid 19 sample collection booth was set up at Terminal 3 in front of Gate no 8. Delhi state government has also associated with Genestrings Diagnostic Centre Pvt Ltd to test coronavirus samples.

Launching RT-PCR facility for international and domestic passengers at the airport: Videsh Kumar

Nearly 120 to 130 samples are collected at the booths per hour. Videsh Kumar, DIAL CEO stated about launching RT -PCR facility for outbound International and domestic passengers at the airport.
