New Delhi: As officials told The Delhi Commission for women(DCW) rescued a woman from Bihar who was reunited with her lover in Delhi amid fear of the safety of the couple.
The commission revealed that the man sent a complaint to the women ‘s rights body. He stated that he was in a relationship with a woman and they lived together in Indirapuram in Uttar Pradesh. However, when the woman’s parents came to know about their relationship, her mother took her to Bihar. The man revealed that he was beaten a lot by the woman’s family.
DCW unites Bihar woman with her lover in Delhi:
The commission contacted the complainant and asked about the woman. According to the statement given by DCW, the lover told that he had a word with her a few days back and since then her phone was switched off. The woman told the complainant that she was kept near Bhagwati Sthan Mandir. However, she did not know the exact location.
DCW chief Swati Maliwal said,
“The girl was reunited with the man of her choice. Their lives were in constant danger from her parents as well as some religious organisations. We were able to rescue her with the help of Bihar Police and also arranged for her security. We went beyond our jurisdiction to help her and shall continue to serve humanity selflessly.”
After DCW contacted Bihar Police, the women were finally raced from Pandaul in Bihar. Also, Police informed DCE that the life of the woman was in danger and that she has to be shifted to some safer place. Then, the woman was brought to the national capital and the couple was then reunited. Furthermore, the court has ordered police to provide safety to them.
