Delhi: Youth stabbed to death in what appears a neighbourhood rivalry

New Delhi: On Tuesday, a 21-year-old youth stabbed dozens of times and killed by his rivals in Tigri Extension, South Delhi. This appears to be a case of neighbourhood rivalry.

The deceased has been identified as Satish Kumar. One of the suspects has been arrested and the hunt is on for others. Since the incident was captured on CCTV camera, cops were able to arrest Vivek from Sangam Vihar. Vivek is one of the suspects. He was 19 years old.

Police said that they received a call from Batra hospital about a man brought dead with stab injuries. When the team reached there, they talked to one of the eyewitnesses who said that when he was going to buy milk, he saw that a man was threatening Satish. When he intervened, the accused called more people and stabbed Satish a dozen times. He added that incident happened on Tuesday at around 10:30 pm. 

Atul Thakur is DCP(South). Thakur said that the accused has been identified after which a team has raided his house in Sangam Vihar. One of the suspects is arrested. Thakur added, “On Tuesday, Piyush had brought a knife, which he handed over to him. He said, when they met Satish at night, an argument ensued between them and he stabbed him to death.”

Piyush is Satish’s friend who used to come to the colony. Vivek told Police that Satish used to object to Piyush visiting him claiming that outsiders could not come to the colony. Thakur revealed that on Tuesday Piyush brought a knife and handed it over to him. And when they met at night, an argument aroused and he stabbed Satish to death.
