On Wednesday, Dubai Health Authority (DHA) in conjunction with Facebook, revealed that approximately 54,881 used its dedicated COVID 19 chat Hotline to seek help in the time period of April to September.
The automated chatbot application is a free 24×7 service, which was developed to raise awareness among the people and provide them accurate information about the COVID 19 virus and some other DHA services. The service was also introduced to the community members with DHA’s efforts to provide the people 24×7 communication channel which is available in multiple languages.
Most asked questions on Hotline service
Since the day first, of the service launched in April, users have accurate information and advice about COVID 19. The most asked questions on the WhatsApp service are “Am I eligible for a COVID 19 test and what is the procedure to get the test?”, Followed by “Can I get a coronavirus medical certificate?” And the third most asked question is “I suspect that there is a sick person with Coronavirus, what do I do?”
The service helps in identifying the fake news
Fatma Al Khaja, Director of the Customer Happiness Department at Dubai Health Authority said that hotline service is very helpful in identifying fake news about the virus and providing the people with the necessary knowledge to take precautionary and preventive measures to protect themselves from the Coronavirus.
She said we always wanted a system that would respond to patients’ queries timely and give people a credible communication channel that would provide accurate information. The system provides the people to get accurate information about the Coronavirus, view UAE statistics, and even find out if they are eligible for a COVID 19 test.
DHA’s service ads on social media platforms
Because of the ongoing partnership, Facebook has provided DHA with ad credits to bring more people to the government site and view the statistics of the pandemic in Dubai. Since April, The Dubai Health Authority ads on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook have reached over six million users and have been viewed for over 36 million times.
