The ‘stories’ feature shared by Facebook on Instagram has surpassed the usage and popularity of the feature, leaving behind Snapchat which is the original creator of this feature. However, the same is not true with Facebook’s original app and on WhatsApp. So, to increase the usability of the ‘stories’ feature, the social media giant is running a test. In the test, Facebook brings Instagram Stories right onto one’s news feed automatically.
At present also this process of sharing Instagram stories as Facebook stories is possible but manually. If the test conducted runs successfully then one can share Instagram stories directly into them automatically.
About Instagram stories on Facebook’s feed
This new feature was first observed by @ec.wife on Twitter and later it was confirmed by the company officials that they are testing this new feature.
This new feature will make you choose Instagram stories from the option while you are sharing any posts on FB. The new ability will allow you to view Stories from Instagram on FB so that you can share and view the vanishing posts from any of the Facebook apps. Going by Facebook’s reply, FB will label Facebook Stories and Instagram Stories on its platform for streamlined user experience. You will get an option to opt-in for the feature and the privacy settings are said to remain the same as they are.
By this way, the FB is planning to increase the usability and the reach of the Insta stories, however, there is also a slight limitation to this feature as the Insta stories shared by you on the Facebook will only be visible to the people who follow you on Insta and have their Facebook accounts linked.
It also remains unclear that when the social media giant will launch this feature in the public domain and it will be used by all the Facebook users.
