With less than 10 days left now for the closing of voting for Presidential elections on November 3, both the candidates US President and Republican nominee Donald Trump and former Vice president and Democratic nominee Joe Biden are doing every bit that is possible to win the votes of Americans.
Biden has promised that he will work with India to counter terrorism and to stop China from threatening its neighbours
In another attack on US President Donald Trump, Joe Biden said that for him US-India ties are about ‘getting things done’ while for Trump it is just for ‘photo-ops’. Biden added that he will continue his promise of working with India to combat terrorism and prevent China from threatening its neighbouring countries. Joe Biden recalled the phase and said that Barack Obama’s tenure a US President 2009-2016 saw some of the best years between the two countries of the US and India adding that he and his running mate Indian-origin Kamala Harris will work and build on that progress and do even more.
Biden recalled Obama’s eight year tenure as some of the best years of the partnership between India and the US
Biden illustrated the contrast with the US President he called the role Biden played in the passage of India-US civil nuclear deal which will be always written as ‘historic’ as Chairman of the US Senate foreign relations committee in 2008. He added that if the US and India become closer friends, then the world will be a safer place. Biden served as Vice president under the eight year tenure of Barack Obama as US President.
Biden said that US and India should be natural allies. In the recent national polls, Joe Biden has an upper hand in the Presidential elections, with a decent lead over rival and Republican nominee Donald trump, however, Trump is narrowing down the lead after he resumed his Presidential campaign after being tested positive for Covid-19 along his wife and first lady Melania Trump.
