As Global Village in Dubai going to open its doors to the public for the silver jubilee season on October 25, there is going to be strict safety protocols for it. Some of the safety protocols include Thermal screening, complimentary face masks for children, frequent disinfection, contactless payment, and hundreds of hand sanitizer.
Ali AlSuwaidi, Chief Operating Officer at Global Village, said, “We are proud of our strong health and safety records and will try hard to set benchmarks for our industry. We became the first theme park to win Sword of Honour achievement for our safety management excellence from the British Safety Council and will continue to work to the standards developed alongside international bodies such as the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA).”
He further added, At Global Village, the comfort and wellbeing of our guests decide our operational decisions. We are pleased by our preparation for October 25 as we have nearly completed and we welcome our guests for our silver jubilee season.
Safety measures at Global Village
Some of the precautionary measures that will be in place in Global Village include setting up of more than 600 hand sanitizer Holders around the whole park, complimentary face masks for children, contactless payment solutions, frequent disinfection of all touchpoints etc.
All the utensils will be sanitized after every use and restaurants will follow social distancing norms. Dining tables will be two meters apart from each other and every table and chairs will be disinfected after every use. Wheelchairs, shopping trolleys, and similar services will also be sanitized after use.
Social distancing will be strictly enforced across the park. All the guests and staff members will be wearing face masks. Thermal screening cameras are installed at every staff and guest entry point to check the temperature of every guest before entry.
Carnival rides and games will operate to reduce capacity and will be disinfected after every use. Park facilities will also be sanitized every night before closure. There will be no valet parking but holders of Global Village VIP packs will have access to VIP parking zones through the smart parking gates with online car plate registration.
Emergency PCR test available
According to the park management, Prime Hospital Clinic will operate its services inside the park for any medical emergencies. Medical staff is trained to provide PCR tests to Global Village guests upon request.
Crowds at Global Village will be closely monitored and managed and if the park reaches the mandatory capacity, people will be informed by social media platforms, and on new website, and mobile app.
