Gmail fully altered email and Google continues to enhance its service with wonderfully useful new features. Google doesn’t add any new looks in their apps. They had added the Google meet feature in the Gmail app and the on computer. Many of the users are complaining about these add-on features.

Users complaining that Google is using this service for collecting users’ personal information. People are also said they could not be happier to give Google access to their information in exchange for Google software.

Google is offering us many services like Google search, Google Maps, and Gmail, etc but they are also taking people data. Around 194 billion people use google apps which is a very big number. Google has its video calling platform named Google Duo. Google has released an update to add Google Meet into the Gmail apps on iOS and Android and the PCs.

During this lock-down, many of the people are using video calling apps for connecting to their loved ones across the states and countries. This causes a big demand for video calling apps in the world. Zoom is one of the apps which is most used by people all over the world.

Many people are not happy with this update. They stated they are having some security issues with this app. So these are some steps by which you can disable Google Meet in the Gmail app on t iPhone and Android phones and Google’s Gmail website.

Here are the steps to disable Google Meet:

  • Open Gmail app
  • Scroll down to the bottom and tap Settings
  • Click on your account
  • Then General segment on your account settings.
  • Tap on the toggle near “Show the Meet tab for video calling” to disable it.

For the Gmail site

  • Click on settings and then click on all settings
  • Then click on Chat and Meet
  • Go to the meet section and click the hide button
  • And then click on save changes
