Health Minister Satyendar Jain lists the reasons for rising in covid 19 cases:

Satyendar Jain: On Tuesday, Delhi Recorded 4853 cases. On Wednesday, there were 5673 cases. On Thursday as many as 5739 cases were recorded And on Friday, there were about 5891 covid cases and 47 deaths.

Health Minister Satyendar Jain lists the reasons for rising in covid 19 cases:

As the covid cases increase, Health Minister Satyendar Jain enlist the reasons for the same. On Saturday, Satyendar Jain said, “It’s a combined effect of the festive season, decrease in temperature and increased pollution. Experts had also suggested that at this time Covid-19 cases could rise.”

Delhi breached its record for the highest number of covid 19 cases in a day and that too four times in a week. On Monday, a special meeting was called by the home ministry and the issue was discussed with the officials of Delhi government 

Besides increasing covid cases in the capital, the air pollution has been a matter of concern for a week now. In the past 10 days, the air quality of Delhi and Near Capital Region(NCR) has been close to severe. To fight air pollution in Delhi, a new umbrella agency was formed.

The health minister said that the carelessness of the people is another reason for the spike in covid 19 cases. Satyendar Jain said, 

“People are giving less importance to wearing face masks. Masks can save us to a large extent from the winter pollution too.” He urged all Delhiites to wear masks as a vaccine against coronavirus.  He explained the importance of wearing a mask by saying that If all people wear masks then covid 19 infections can be reduced to a large extent. He added that wearing masks is as beneficial as lockdown if not more than that. And until there is a vaccine, masks should be considered as vaccines.
