Indian Intelligence Agencies will run security checks over all the Turkey linked NGO’s which are appearing to be suddenly active in Jammu and Kashmir. This decision was made when last year’s Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan speech in United Nations General Assembly almost instanced the speech of Pakistan Prime Minister on Kashmir.
Probe for individuals and groups connected to Turkish charities
The national security advisor said that the probe over the charities will include detailed investigation on individuals connected to nonprofitable institutions linked backed to Turkey. A detailed report will be made on their regular activities and their links to other countries.
A more intensive probe could take action if the links of the NGO’s with other countries are found and against groups and individuals that could have crossed the red line. In this probe foreign funds and relations with other countries could be investigated.
Turkey wants to shift dominance on the Muslim Community from Saudi Arabia to Turkey
Analysts had pointed on Turkey’s attempt enhance it’s influence with the help of President Erdogan’s idea to challenge the influence of Saudi Arabia over the Muslim community all over the world. They tend to reshape the Muslim community with Turkey’s Ottoman traditions as a model for other Islamic nations to follow. The move of Turkish charities is pointed to the idea to radicalize Indian Muslims in Kashmir and other part of the country.
The reports show the enhanced activities of Turkey- linked NGO’s in Kashmir and are mostly linked to Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party). These unusual activities are coincided with the change of tone of Kashmir matter with Pakistan’s viewpoint in Turkish media. The reports also confirms the outreach of these Turkish charities to Kashmiri Muslims during Ramzan. Webinars and other events are being organised which includes topics to idealize Kashmiri Muslims against Indian Government.
