JEE Main and NEET: Dashing the hopes of thousands of students, the ministry of education has finally announced that the NEET and IIT JEE main exams cannot be postponed. The exams will take place as per the fixed schedule.
Referring to the Supreme Court’s decision, a source said the postponement of the exam is not justified.
The source further added that the situation is not conducive due to the coronavirus outbreak but the career of millions of the students cannot be put on a hold. Their full and long career cannot be wasted. Thus, keeping safety rules in mind, the government is ready to organize the NEET and IIT JEE main exams. Both the exams are scheduled to take place during the first week of September 2020.
NTA also released an issue and said that the postponement of the exam is not justified as the coronavirus outbreak has made it tough but the career of millions of the students cannot be put on a hold. Their full and long career cannot be wasted. The examination will take place amid the pandemic, keeping safety rules in mind.
However, there were more people and organizations against the decision of the government to organize the exams amid the outbreak.
According to the sources, the admit cards for JEE (Mains) and NEET 2020 have been released and most of the students have already downloaded it and are checking their allotted examination city.
The source further informed that the exam will take place as per the guideline issued by the ministry of health and family welfare. The examination center will follow the proper social distancing norms. Gloves and masks will also be distributed at the examination centers for protection.
Moreover, thermal screening and sanitization will also be done before students are allowed to enter the examination hall.
According to the sources, 99.87 percent of the students are being given the first choice of their preferred city for the examination.
