Cricket legend Kapil Dev suffered a heart scare and has undergone an emergency coronary angioplasty at a hospital in New Delhi. The Legendary Indian cricketer had been quite active in the social circuit before the covid pandemic. Further, there was no news about him suffering from any heart illness.
The captain of the 1983 world cup winning side Kapil Dev has undergone an emergency coronary angioplasty. He is stable now. Ashok Malhotra is a former Test player and Indian Cricketers Association President. He said that Kapil Dev is feeling fine now. Ashok mentioned that he spoke to Kapil’s wife Romi and he was feeling uneasy the day before that is on Thursday.
According to the official statement from Fortis Escorts in Okhla Road, New Delhi, KapilDev is now stable and will be discharged in a couple of days. The statement said that Mr Kapil Dev, age 62 years came to Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, Okhla road to the emergency department at 1:00 am on 23 October. He came with a complaint of chest pain. After being evaluated, Dr Atul Mathur performed an emergency coronary angioplasty. Dr Atul Mathur is the director of the Cardiology department. The coronary angioplasty was done in the middle of the night.
