NEET 2020 results are out: Soyeb Aftab and Akansha Singh attain a perfect score

NEET 2020 results were declared on Friday night. According to NTA( National Testing Agency), two candidates have attained full marks in NEET this year. Sayeb Aftab is from Orissa and Akansha Singh from Delhi. Both have scored 720 out of 720 marks. 


As per NTA’s tie-breaking policy, Aftab has ranked first and Akansha has been ranked second though both of them scored 720/720 marks. Moreover, the same tie-breaking policy has been used for deciding further ranks.


Candidates can download their results upto 90 days from the date of declaration. The NEET 2020 results were announced on the NEET official website at 5 pm. Candidates can check their marks on or at

The answer key of NEET( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) has also been released on the official website by NTA( National Testing Agency) on Friday. Top six students are as follows:

  1. Soyeb Aftab from Odisha( Male) : 720
  2. Akansha Singh from Delhi ( female) : 720
  3. Tummala Snikitha from Telangana( female): 715
  4. Vineet Sharma from Rajasthan(male): 715
  5. Amrisha Khaitan form Haryana( female): 715
  6. Guthi Chaitanya Sindhu from Andhra Pradesh( female) : 715

Those who ranked from 8th to 20th scored 710 marks. Those who ranked from 25th to 50th scored 705/ 720.

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal:

After NEET 2020 results were announced on Friday, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Education Minister thanked NTA.

Pokhriyal on Twitter thanked NTA for giving a new cohort of doctors. He encouraged the students who could not clear the test and said that a test can not define them. They should not be disheartened and there are many opportunities in other sectors as well.

The Union Education Minister boosting the morale of students said that “The result has been declared. I congratulate all candidates who have cleared the exam and wish them good luck for the future. I thank NTA for giving a  new cohort of Doctors this year. Exams were conducted during “testing” times and the spirit of Cooperative Federalism was clearly visible. I thank all the Chief Ministers for the same,”
