New Delhi: A traffic policeman does not let off his hold even as the offender drives zig zag. The incident happened near the Cantonment area. He was driven for approximately 400 metres and was then seen falling on the road.
The police personnel was trying to stop the vehicle which was speeding on a busy road. However, being held on the bonnet, he was dragged for approximately 400 metres after which he falls off on the road. In the Footage from CCTV, it can be made out that his legs nearly missed the wheels of the hatchback driven by the offender as other vehicles drove past him. Before falling in the road, the policeman did not let off his hold even as the offender drove zig-zag on a busy stretch.
The incident took place on Monday in Dhaula Kuan area in South Delhi.

The constable Mahipal Singh in the footage is seen standing next to the hatchback. The car was stopped for using a fancy number plate. While the driver was trying to flee, Mahipal jumped into the car. The offender then derived in a zigzag pattern on a busy stretch. However, the constable did not let off his hold. After being driven for approximately 400 metres, the police personnel were seen falling on the road.
After one kilometre chase, the offender was arrested and was identified as Shubham. Shubham lives in Uttam Nagar, Southwest Delhi. Mahipal Singh said that he tried to stop the car after seeing its fancy number plate. After his complaint, a case has been filed.
Yadav mentioned in his complaint, “I tried to stop the car. The driver first slowed the car, and when I went in front of it to stop it, he increased the speed. I jumped on the bonnet of the car.”
