Meerut: On Tuesday, a 15-year-old boy who staged his abduction was rescued in Delhi. The boy is the son of a local transporter. Local police and a special task force rescued the boy in the national capital.

Police also revealed that the boy took Rs 9.32 lakh from his house which has been recovered with the boy.
Police says that the teenager took such a step as he was peeved over reprimands by stepmother:
On Monday afternoon, the boy went missing from his house in posh Shastri Nagar area. He is the oldest of three siblings. The police said that the teenager took such a step as he was peeved over repeated reprimands by his stepmother.
The teenager was tracked after he used his stepmother’s mobile number to book a cab in Delhi:
Suraj Rai, circle officer(Civil Lines) said that the boy was tracked after he used an old mobile phone to book a cab in Delhi. That old mobile number belongs to his stepmother.
From the beginning, the police were suspicious that it’s not a case of abduction for ransom. After the teenager went missing, his younger sister got a message on her mobile. She is 12 years of age. The parents live at their native Radhna village. She informed them of the same. Apart from the extortion message, a handwritten extortion note was also recovered from the house
Delhi – Akhilesh Narayan Singh, superintendent of police said,
“The handwriting on the note matched with that of the victim. The note was written on a writing pad belonging to the victim’s sister and was kept inside a cupboard. The extortion demand sent on mobile phones and the note was also not coherent.”
