Tamil Nadu Government decides to reopen the educational institutions from 16 November:
Chennai: On Saturday, The Tamil Nadu government announced the reopening of schools, research institutions and other educational institutions from 16 November. Schools will be reopened for classes 9, 10, 11 and 12. Movie theatres are likely to reopen from 10 November.
Meeting with district collectors and health experts about reopening of educational institutions:
On Wednesday, the chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami had a meeting with district collectors and health experts. And after the meeting, the announcement for reopening educational institutions was done.
Movie theatres to open from 10 November with 50 per cent capacity:
Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami said, “Considering the representations received from theatre owners, all theatres, including multiplexes and theatres at shopping malls having more than one screens, are allowed to operate with 50% capacity from November 10.”

Furthermore, from November 26, all hostels of schools and colleges are allowed to function. From 2nd November, the wholesale fruit market will be allowed to move to the Koyambedu market. From 16 November, retail sale of fruits and vegetables will begin in three phases. Also, suburban trains will be allowed as per the decision of the centre.
Functions to have a maximum strength of 100, more than that is not allowed:
Film shooting with crew strength of 150 is also allowed. From 16 November, all religious congregations, social, political, entertainment, cultural and academic functions will be allowed. However, by the standard operating procedures, a maximum of 100 people are allowed. The marriage related gatherings and funerals are not allowed to have more than 100 people.
