School Reopening news: State-wise updates on the resumption of normal classes:

School Reopening: Recently, several surveys have been conducted revealing that parents are not ready to send their kids to schools. Survey reveals that about 71% of parents are not ready while 9% are indecisive 


Under the guidelines of Unlock 5, many states have decided to reopen the schools after 15 October. Centre has permitted states to reopen the schools with all guidelines and precautions related to covid 19 to be followed. Here are state-wise updates about reopening of the schools. 


State-wise updates on the resumption of normal classes:


The chief minister stated that they are not in a hurry to open schools and pandemic. 


Though there are guidelines for Unlock 5 issued by the Telangana government no decision has been taken for reopening of schools yet.


Manish Sisodia has instructed the schools to remain shut till October 31. And soon the order for the same will be released.

Andhra Pradesh: 

The YS Jagan Mohan Reddy led government has decided not to reopen skills till 2nd November.


Rajasthan governments have extended summer school timings till 31 October. The announcement was made by the State Education minister on twitter.

Uttarakhand cabinet minister Madan Kaushik stated that it’s the responsibility of both school management as well as the District education department to keep a check on the spread of covid 19 on the patrons.

West Bengal:

The Mamta Banerjee led government has decided not to reopen schools till mid-November.


 The Maharashtra government has decided not to reopen the schools until the end of October.

Tamil Nadu:

 Tamil Nadu Education Minister said that” The safety of the students is what we are focussed on right now and the Chief Minister will decide when schools will reopen after discussions with the Education, Health and other departments.”
