Snatchers trap: Two men lured their victim by throwing currency notes on the road. Moreover, both the suspects were caught by the victim who later recovered his bag from the suspects. 

The two suspects tried to snatch a man’s bag on Geeta Colony Flyover. The incident happened on Monday evening. The snatchers lure the victim by throwing currency notes on the road. When the victim stopped to pick them, the snatchers tried to escape with his bag. 

We all know about Thak Thak gangs who lure people by using currency notes. However, Thak Thak gangs used the currency trick to steal a victim’s belongings mostly from their car. But in the recent incident, a snatcher used a currency trick to take away the bag of the victim.

Nevertheless, the suspects were chased by the victim who caught them and handed over to police. His bag was recovered, as said by deputy commissioner of police(north) Anto Alphonse.

While 57-year-old Padam Prakash Gautam was riding his motorcycle on Monday evening the crime took place. He was on his way from home in Harsh Vihar to Kamla Market. When he reached Geeta Colony Flyover, he saw five notes of Rs 500. He stopped his motorcycle to pick them and then two suspects snatched his bag. He barely kept the nites in his bag when they swooped on him and took the bag. Both if the suspects were on motorcycles. Also, DCP told that Gautam’s bag had Rs 1500 cash.

DCP told, “He chased the snatchers and recovered his bag from them. The police were called and the two suspects, Nizamuddin and Adil, were arrested.”The investigator added that  “They thought that they could even recover the cash they invested in the crime.”
