Rajnath Singh: The situation at LAC (Line of Actual Control) is still critical in its sixth month row starting from May this year. The recent talks to disengage and de-escalate have yielded no results despite of several commander level talks between India and China.
8th round of diplomatic military between India and China will be held shortly
The 8th round of military diplomatic talks between the Corps commander level officers from both the side of India and China is expected to be held shortly so to reduce the tension at LAC (Line of Actual Control) in eastern Ladakh. The Indian defence minister Rajnath Singh, on Wednesday said that the diplomatic military talks with China for the peaceful resolution at LAC (Line of Actual Control) for the border crisis will continue even as The Indian troops are standing firm in the forward areas. The commanders of Indian army and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is preparing to hold the next round of diplomatic military talks shortly to reduce the friction which is with stand the line of actual control.
Soldiers at LAC will be equipped with best weapons, clothing and gear to withstand the extreme cold weather and fight hostile forces
During addressing the army’s top leaders Rajnath Singh said the soldiers at the line of actual control in Eastern Ladakh will be equipped with the best weapons and gear so that they can carry out their duties successfully. He also added that it is the national responsibility to ensure the availability of the best weapons, clothing and equipment to the Indian troops so that they can fight with standing extreme weather and hostile forces to defend the integrity Of India.
The border row is in its sixth month and all the efforts to reduce the tension on LAC in Eastern Ladakh have been of no use as it is expected that the troops of both the countries will be deployed during the extreme weather in winter as there is no sign of peace in the region.
