Telangana TRS party’s election promise was to construct a double bedroom house on their own land. Intending to fulfill this promise, the state government has allocated 11,917 crores for the construction of double houses in the 2020-21 budget.

The state government has promised to construct one lakh more double-bedroom houses in addition to 2.72 lakh houses. Also, by Announcing the Budget allocation for double bedroom houses. On the other hand, The Finance minister said, ” As promised in the last election manifesto, the government is proposing to provide financial assistance to construct 2BHK to the poor people who are having their own land. I am glad to share that people are going to get the benefit and financial assistance in the ensuing financial year. ”
According to sources, we have information that the construction of 1.7 lakh bedroom houses has already been completed. The work for one lakh more houses are still in progress. The state government has spent around 7000 crores on this housing scheme.
The government had also formulated the 2BHK scheme in October 2015. In the year 2018-19, 2643 crore was allocated for the housing scheme. But there was no mention of a double housing scheme in the last Budget which was presented by CM KCR. He just promised 2BHK houses to those who have their own land.

TRS government promised only those things, which can be fulfilling and the 2BHK project was one of them. KCR said the party has been delivering every promise made to the people of Telangana in its election.
Under the scheme, the government will grant 5 lakh to each one lakh eligible families who own land parcels. The granted fund would be utilized to construct 2BHK units.
