New Delhi: A passenger who was travelling abroad Air India’s Delhi Goa flight created a ruckus and said that there was a terrorist in the aircraft.

The passenger created panic mid-air in Air India’s Delhi Goa flight. According to the sources, the passenger is identified as Zia-Ul-Haq. The passenger is from Okhla, Delhi. Zia-UI-Haq said to the Delhi Police Special cell that a terrorist was present on the aircraft. Following which the crew on the flight alerted pilots about the situation immediately. And then Goa ATC and aviation security were also informed.
The flight landed in Goa at 3:30 pm. Then the passenger was taken into detention and was interrogated. Later it was revealed that Zia-UI-Haq was mentally unstable. According to the statement that was released by the aviation security official, aviation security revived a call from ATC on 22 October. After one of the passengers claimed that there was a terrorist on board of AI 884, QAT( Quick action team ) and BDDS( Bomb Direction Disposal Squad) reached the aerobridge. The aircraft was then thoroughly checked. The passenger as well as his baggage was also checked. And then was forwarded for further process to airports police.
Here is what the official statement said, “On October 22 aviation security revived a call from ATC. A passenger claimed that on-board of AI 884 that there is a terrorist in the aircraft, a quick action team (QAT) and Bomb Direction Disposal Squad (BDDS) reached the aerobridge and thoroughly checked the aircraft and suspect passenger and his baggage. And later forwarded to the airport police for further action.”A written complaint is registered by a cabin crew of Air India with Goa Airport
