Recently the exceptional hockey player, Tyler Amurgey died after getting infected with COVID-19 at the age of 29. Her wife, Aimee Amburgey reported to the NEW YORK times recently.
The athlete who played hockey for Team USA in his teenage years thought initially that he has caught a cold in August. However, the symptoms began worsening with the course of time including nausea, breathlessness and severe headache. The fact of the player being a COVID-19 patient was disclosed after his death as said by Aimee in an interview with the newspaper.
In another interview with Station WFAA, Mrs. Amburgey told that her husband finally got relief from the three long days of suffering later finding him not responding anymore. She added that she was informed that the sleeping pills taken by Tyler resulted in compromising his oxygen level in the body as well as his ability to combat the disease.
Tyler Amburgey was a well-known hockey player who played for USA in the under-19 category. He played for three teams and was a part of three major professional leagues from 2012 to 2016. During few previous years, the player had undergone multiple hip surgeries and a few times back started witnessing the issue releated to memory. After his demise, his family and relatives have donated his brain to a research organization namely CTE fulfilling what the hockey player wished so.
Recently, Amburgey was appointed as the head coach for the Texas under-16 AA hockey team. Following his coronavirus infection, two of his players have also tested positive for COVID-19 and two more players, in addition, have been witnessing the symptoms of the disease.
