Water supply in the national capital to restore till Sunday: Raghav Chadha

New Delhi: On Saturday, Raghav Chadha, vice chairman of Delhi Jal Board (DJB) said that the water supply to Delhi will be restored by Sunday. For the last few days,  The national capital has been grappling with a shortage of water.

Raghav Chadha said that The water supply in the national capital will be restored to full capacity by evening or Sunday morning.

Water supply in the national capital to restore till Sunday says AAP leader Raghav Chadha

Ruling AAP leader said, “About 70 per cent of water supply in the national capital has been resumed. The DJB is trying to restore the water supply on a war footing. By today (Saturday) evening or tomorrow morning, the DJB will ensure the supply of water is in full capacity.”

Raghav Chadha said that about 70 per cent of water supply in Delhi has been restored. The AAP leader said that by Saturday evening or Sunday morning, the full capacity of water supply is ensured.

Sonia Vihar and Bhagirathi water treatment plants receive Yamuna water. However, these plants were temporarily shut because of the high level of Ammonia in it. As a result, the water supply in the national capital was a bit disrupted. As Raghav Chadha reported, these plants resumed their operation last night.

Talking about the increasing number of covid cases in the capital, Raghav Chadha said that currently, the situation is under control. For the third consecutive day, 5000 new cases were reported in Delhi. On Friday, there were as many as 5891 new covid cases in the national capital.

This results in a total of 3,81,64 positive cases in the city. Out of these, 32,363 accounts to be the active cases and 6470 are the number of deaths. Further, there have been 3,42,811 recoveries.
