WHO chief talks about role of youth in fighting the pandemic. The disease COVID -19 also known as Coronavirus is much more dangerous for older people.
As they are caught early for this but this doesn’t mean that the younger generation is absolutely safe. It can make you sick or even kill anyone who’s infected, as the WHO told.
WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus tell that more than 210,000 cases have reported positive worldwide every day with a death rate of 9000 people per day which creates a” new and tragic milestone”.
Tedros add the older people are at the hardest hit but the younger people are also not left behind. Data from many countries show that people under the age of 50 contribute largely to patients requiring hospitalization.

“Today I have a message for young people: You are not invincible, this virus could put you in hospital for weeks or even kill you.
Even if you don’t get sick the choices you make about where you go could be the difference between life and death for someone else” Tedros spoke for the younger generation.
