Shimron Hetmyer was the best batsman for Guyana Amazon Warriors in this year’s Caribbean Premier League (CPL). He was their highest scoring batsman with 267 runs in 11 matches. Although, Hetmyer may not have much experience in the IPL, but he gave a glimpse of his batting skills with a match-winning 75 off just 47 balls during a successful run chase against SRH in Bengaluru in 2019 IPL.

One of the most talented and fearsome fast bowlers in the world today, South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada has already picked up 36 wickets in 20 IPL matches. His bowling average of 16.94 and strike rate of 12.72 are both the best stats for a bowler in IPL’s history.


3. RISHABH PANT

With a strike rate of 160.92, Pant has the third-highest strike rate in the history of the IPL, only behind West Indian and KKR duo Andre Russell and Sunil Narine. He was in great form in the 2018 IPL as he scored 684 runs in 14 matches at a shocking strike rate of 173.6.

His batting average of 42.77 and strike rate of 142.11 makes him one of the most aggressive batsman in IPL’s history. Warner has finished as the highest run-scorer in 3 IPL seasons, in 2015, 2017 and 2019 – a world record.

5. JONNY BAIRSTOW

David Warner’s opening partner, Jonny Bairstow has the best batting average (min. 500 runs) in the IPL. So far he has scored 511 runs in just 12 matches at an explosive run rate of 51.1 and at a strike rate of 152.08. In his 12 IPL innings, Bairstow has already scored a century and three half-centuries.
