DREAM11 IPL 2020 MI VS CSK LIVE –

Updates from the CSK camp

Dwayne Bravo, Imran Tahir and Mitchell Santner had completed six days since their arrival in the UAE after participating in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and are now available for Saturday’s game. But Aussie speedster Josh Hazlewood & English pacer Sam Curran, who arrived on Thursday will miss out in the opening game. Their participation is highly unlikely for the opener due to BCCI’s strict quarantine protocols which stated that any player arriving in the UAE will have to undergo 36 hour quarantine. Meanwhile, Ruturaj Gaikwad, who was earlier tested positive for Covid-19 had now been tested negative but another test remains. He will be unavailable for the first match as there will be a cardiovascular assessment before he can get back in to the field.

Check what Chennai Super Kings’ coach Stephan Fleming had to say ahead of the big game vs arch rivals Mumbai Indians –

“We have travelled here in Abu Dhabi in some tough conditions. We will have to be excellent on the day to possess and assess the wicket and pick the proper combination of eleven players. One of the biggest challenges for IPL teams will be to have the combinations right. I will admit, coming to Abu Dhabi without seeing the wicket or assessing the conditions will be a large challenge to start out with”.

Updates from the MI Camp

IPL 2020 – Unlike CSK, Mumbai Indians are pretty relaxed about the presence of any cricketer at this stage. They will grace the field with much confidence, as they have already seen the wicket, and have been staying and practicing in Abu Dhabi and that they are the defending champions. The only question they face is how many quick bowlers will be needed for the match. They have world-class seamers like Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, Nathan Coulter-Nile, and Mitchell McClenaghan in the squad, but they will need quality spinners too. They had selected their team based on the conditions in India, so will the same squad work in the UAE conditions? Beside right arm off-spinner Krunal Pandya and right arm leg-spinner Rahul Chahar, they will need to depend upon talented unknowns like Anukul Roy and Prince Balwant Rai who are yet to be seen on the big screen. Despite not having much depth in the spin department, Mumbai Indians are going to start as favorites for the match against Chennai Super Kings.
