IPL 2020: RR vs CSK Updates, Team Prediction, Pitch Report, Dream11 Fantasy tips

RR vs CSK: Match 4 of the Dream11 IPL 2020 will see Rajasthan Royals (RR) for the first time this season as they face three-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) tonight at 7.30 PM IST. The match will be played in Sharjah at the Sharjah International Stadium.

The MS Dhoni-led CSK headed off to a flyer start against arch rivals Mumbai Indians (MI) in the season opener. Despite facing a couple of personnel concerns before the start of the 13th edition of the IPL, CSK are now well on track for yet another successful campaign, although it is still early in the tournament.

However, Rajasthan Royals are also facing a couple of concerns of their own, with Ben Stokes’ availability still doubtful and Jos Buttler’s extended quarantine period has left the RR squad short-handed before their first IPL game. Captain Steve Smith will have to call up a really talented playing XI with the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag touted as ones to look out for this season.

Both the league games between the 2 sides in the IPL 2019 ended up with a nail-biting finish which resulted in CSK wins. If those games are any indication of things to return, one would ideally fancy another Chennai Super Kings victory, although one cannot write-off Rajasthan Royals’ chances, especially with the likes of Jofra Archer and David Miller in Rajasthan’s roster tonight.

Let’s take a look on what could be the predicted line-ups for the match.

Rajasthan Royals Predicted Playing XI

Robin Uthappa, Sanju Samson(wk), Steve Smith (C), David Miller, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, Shreyas Gopal, Mayank Markande, Jofra Archer, Tom Curran, Jaydev Unadkat.

Chennai Super Kings Predicted Playing XI

Shane Watson, Murali Vijay, Faf du Plessis, Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Curran, Piyush Chawla, Deepak Chahar, Lungi Ngidi

RR vs CSK Pitch Report

A smooth batting surface is expected at Sharjah which had an average first innings score of 158 in IPL 2014. The ball should come on to the bat much better under floodlights, though the conditions will not change excessively throughout the match. The pacers could get the new ball to swing, while the spinners will hold the key in the middle overs. Teams chasing at this venue have enjoyed more success so both teams would ideally look to bowl first. Anything between 160-170 should be a competitive score.
