Rajasthan Royals, the team which previously held the record of highest runs chases(215 runs against Deccan Chargers in 2008) has yet again broken its record by chasing a total of 224 runs against the Kings XI Punjab. Surpassing a 200 runs mark in T20 is a fairly secure milestone, but the Royals did not sacrifice their victory. With an amazing inning by KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal made the Punjab fans clench to their seats by showcasing a partnership of 183 runs, on the contrary it sparked an insecurity for Rajasthan fans. In the second innings with S. Smith, S. Samson and R. Tewatia, it didn’t only make the Rajasthan fans happy, but also cricket fans. There was no doubt that Punjab’s score was a respectable milestone, they did everything they could, but as the saying goes “There’s always a bigger fish”, Rajasthan made sure that they didn’t have to sacrifice their victory and compelled us to stick to that game.
