On Friday, Facebook added a new section to its app called Facebook Campus. This section of the app is completely dedicated to the college-going students as it helps the students to connect with fellow peers at their school or college.
After using this section, the students will get access to ‘Campus-only News Feed’ and they can also join groups, events, and group chat rooms, called Campus Chats, about campus life.
This new product is coming out as a result of remote learning. As many schools and colleges are shifting to partial or full-time remote learning.
How to create a Campus profile?
To create a campus profile students are required to know their college email and graduation year. However, other options like major, classes, hometown, and minor are optional. After creating a Campus profile the students of that particular campus can see each other’s feed.

As the name suggests directory is a set of records created to find people. So, the Campus directory also functions in the same way. Availability of Facebook Campus
The Facebook Campus section by the social media giant is loaded with all-new specific features. However, this is no available for everyone around the globe. At present, it is rolling out to thirty universities in the US and the company hasn’t said anything yet about when it will be launched in other countries of the world including India.
